Our Team

Rick uses his technical and analytical skills to engineer customized reports. Prior to working in the financial industry, he studied Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick and completed a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering in 1991.

Rick’s work as an engineer always tended toward technical sales and business in general. This business acumen eventually led him to focus completely on finance, and he has been licensed as a financial advisor since 2003. 

Rick was born in Regina but grew up in Fredericton. He and his wife Carolyn lived and worked in Estonia, Chile and Toronto, before returning to New Brunswick in 2001 to raise their sons, Alex and Joey. Rick enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing and playing hockey. When not at work, he is often building something, relaxing at his cottage, or travelling as part of his continual pursuit of adventure. Most of all, he loves his family. Being with them is his greatest pleasure.

Nicola has a true passion for customer service. After gaining 15 years of experience, she began her career in the financial services industry in 2014. Her desire to offer the best advice to every client led her to pursue her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which she obtained in 2020.

In addition to ensuring excellent service, Nicola focuses on helping our clients reduce taxes and costs through the implementation of properly planned financial solutions. Group benefits are one of her particular specialties. 

Originally from Ontario, Nicola has resided in Fredericton since 2008 and now considers herself a Maritimer. With a love for the outdoors and sunshine, Nicola can often be found adventuring with friends, her daughter Julia and dog Nellie.

Carolyn has a passion for helping people figure out where their hard-earned dollars are going. Over the last 12 years, she has provided cash flow assessments and guided clients in the creation of customized spending plans that align with their values.

Her background is in business education with a focus on administration and bookkeeping. More recently, Carolyn completed her master’s degree in counselling so she would be better equipped to help our clients navigate the emotions and beliefs that often prevent them from meeting their financial goals.

Carolyn was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, and has lived in Fredericton since her university days. Her favourite times are those spent with family, and her favourite place to be is on her bike out on the trails.
